Rosa Patiño-Prenz

Rosa exemplifies a remarkable blend of professional expertise and community engagement. With 17 years in the energy industry spanning construction management, engineering, change management, process improvement, and project management, Rosa currently serves as Section Manager, Astoria Operations with Con Edison. Her career is marked by a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), empowering women, and inspiring youth to seek higher education.

Her leadership extends beyond the workplace, actively mentoring women, minorities, and college students. She actively engages in DEI initiatives, including serving on the steering committee of the STEM Scholar’s program to encourage high school students to pursue STEM careers. She also contributes as a board member of the Hispanic Employee Resource Group CLARO and actively participates in her organization’s DEI Councils and Task Force.

Rosa's educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from the City College of New York (CUNY) and a master’s degree in systems engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology complemented by a Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, reflecting her expertise in managing various types of projects within the energy sector.

In her personal life, Rosa enjoys volunteering in her community, cultivating wellbeing, and cherishing time with her family and pet. Her multifaceted contributions highlight her dedication to leadership, mentorship, and advocacy within both her professional and personal spheres.
